This marks the second major crossover event for Overwatch 2 Season 17, following the G.I. Joe themed cosmetics that featured skins for popular heroes like Genji, Reaper, and Widowmaker. The Nerf collaboration has been teased throughout the season, with subtle hints appearing in the Season 17 trailer and scattered across various in-game maps.

While specific details remain under wraps, the official trailer description suggests players will be able to 'bring your favorite blasters to the battlefield.'
