Behaviour Interactive, the developer behind the popular horror survival game Dead by Daylight, has officially launched its highly anticipated crossover with AMC's The Walking Dead. The collaboration, first announced on July 8, went live on July 29, bringing beloved characters and fresh content to the game.

This isn't the first time Dead by Daylight has partnered with major franchises. The game has a history of exciting crossovers, including recent additions like Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's, along with characters from Assassin's Creed Shadows, Tokyo Ghoul, and Resident Evil.

The latest update introduces three iconic characters from The Walking Dead universe. Rick Grimes and Michonne join as playable Survivors, while Daryl Dixon appears as a Legendary Outfit for Rick. Notably, the characters feature voice acting by their original actors—Andrew Lincoln as Rick and Norman Reedus as Daryl.

Each new Survivor comes with unique Perks that reflect their survival skills from the show. Rick's abilities include silencing injured teammates and constructing Fragile Pallets, while Michonne can stun Killers and provide Endurance to nearby Survivors.

The update also adds a special tile to the Garden of Joy map, featuring recognizable locations from The Walking Dead, including the prison and hospital doors with the infamous "Don't Open, Dead Inside" warning.

With rumors of future Walking Dead content and leaks suggesting a potential Resident Evil 7 and 8 crossover coming in November, Dead by Daylight continues to expand its terrifying universe with exciting collaborations.
