Bungie has unveiled exciting changes coming to Destiny 2 in the upcoming Ash & Iron mid-season update, with particular attention to Warlock class improvements. While The Edge of Fate expansion's launch didn't meet expectations, the development team continues to refine the game through regular updates and balance adjustments.

The Edge of Fate marked a new chapter for Destiny 2, introducing narrative developments and significant gameplay changes. However, player reception was mixed due to issues with the new Kepler location and various technical problems. Steam player counts at launch were notably lower than anticipated, prompting Bungie to accelerate improvements through the Ash & Iron update.

In their latest developer blog, Bungie previewed substantial Warlock ability enhancements designed to expand buildcrafting options. Key improvements include boosted Aspects like Weavewalk and Frostpulse, along with buffs to Empowering Rift, Threadlings, and Pocket Singularity abilities. These changes aim to address player feedback and create more viable combat strategies.

The update isn't limited to Warlocks - Bungie confirmed all three classes will receive attention. While Warlock changes are highlighted first, the studio plans to discuss Hunter and Titan adjustments in subsequent updates. Additionally, Bungie teased upcoming discussions about 'the future of class fantasies,' suggesting more fundamental changes may be coming to class identity and gameplay.

Exotic armor pieces are receiving crucial fixes in Ash & Iron. Problematic items like Crown of Tempests, Starfire Protocol, and Boots of the Assembler will be adjusted, while the new Eunoia exotic gains significant buffs to its projectile range, tracking, and damage output.
