Battlefield 6's Destruction Challenge Struggles as Beta Nears End
2025-08-18 08:12:52With the clock ticking down on Battlefield 6's second open beta weekend, the Destruction Receipts community challenge appears unlikely to reach its staggering $1 trillion damage target. Despite hundreds of thousands of players participating in the beta tests ahead of the game's October release, engagement with this particular challenge has been surprisingly low.
The current beta period, running from August 14 to August 18, follows a record-breaking first weekend that saw over 521,000 concurrent players at its peak. This second phase introduced the innovative Destruction Receipts system, where players document their destructive exploits in-game and share them on social media with #BF6Receipts.
EA's vision for this community event was ambitious - players collectively causing $1 trillion worth of virtual destruction to unlock an exclusive in-game skin. However, with less than nine hours remaining, the damage counter sits at just $178 billion, barely 18% of the target. The official tracking website shows the community still has a monumental task ahead.
The current damage leader, Vusal_Mahmudlu, has demonstrated impressive destruction tactics, accumulating $336 million in damage primarily through aircraft combat. His gameplay showcases expert piloting skills, including dramatic last-second ejections from doomed jets. Only two other participants have surpassed the $300 million mark among nearly 5,000 submissions.
For players attempting last-minute contributions, targeting FTR Aircraft appears to be the most effective strategy. Analysis of the top 100 submissions reveals that every leading player has focused on these high-value targets, which seem to offer the best damage-to-effort ratio in the current beta build.
