Following July 2025's introduction of the Black and White Rarity (BWR) in the Pokemon TCG's Black Bolt and White Flare expansion, which featured stunning monochrome versions of fan-favorite Pokemon like Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX, the game continues to innovate with this exciting new rarity tier designed to thrill veteran collectors and players alike.

Revealed during the prestigious 2025 World Championships, the Mega Attack Rarity (MAR) introduces a visually striking new card design where the attack name becomes an integral part of the artwork. These cards will display attack titles in either Japanese or English, with an interesting twist: English versions showcase the attack name in katakana, while Japanese and Korean versions use English lettering. The initial lineup includes three breathtaking MAR cards featuring Mega Charizard X EX, Mega Gardevoir EX, and Mega Lucario EX.

While Pokemon TCG had previously confirmed the return of Mega-evolved Pokemon, the official showcase of the Mega Attack Rarity cards has generated unprecedented excitement among the community.
