Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge, developed by Humble Reeds and released in 2024, provides another collection-focused experience, this time centered on amphibians. In this relaxing simulation, instead of managing flora, players establish a prosperous sanctuary by breeding, nurturing, and tending to approximately 500 distinct frog species. Participants can cultivate vegetation and excavate ponds to mimic natural environments while engaging in decorative customization. Kamaeru currently holds a 71 average on OpenCritic and a 4.2 user rating on the Epic Games Store platform.

Machinarium and Make Way will conclude August's free game offerings, capping an entertaining month for the gaming community. This month's eight free titles enabled players to solve intricate puzzles, manage emergency services, coordinate package deliveries with companions, and guide motorcycle gangs cross-country. The waiting period will be brief before EGS announces the initial free games scheduled for September release.
