Niantic has officially announced the highly anticipated return of the Psychic Spectacular event in Pokemon GO, scheduled to begin on September 16, 2025. This exciting event marks the debut of Indeedee, the empathetic Psychic/Normal-type Pokemon from Generation 8, bringing fresh content and challenges to trainers worldwide.

Indeedee represents one of the most distinctive additions from the Galar region, known for its unique gender-based appearance variations. Male Indeedee sport upward-spiraling horns and a determined expression, while females display downward-curving horns with a more gentle demeanor. Despite its somewhat serious appearance, this service-oriented Pokemon actually draws energy from bringing joy to humans and other Pokemon, using its emotional sensing capabilities through its horns to understand and fulfill others' needs.

The Psychic Spectacular: Taken Over event will run from September 16 at 10:00 AM through September 21 at 8:00 PM local time. Indeedee will be available through 5 km eggs with potential shiny variants, alongside other psychic-type hatches including Smoochum, Chingling, and Espurr. Three-star raids will feature Alolan Raichu, Hisuian Braviary, and Wyrdeer, while wild spawns will see increased appearances of Abra, Lunatone, Solrock, and Beldum.

Trainers can enjoy multiple bonuses during the event period:

• 50% reduced Egg Hatch Distance for eggs placed in incubators during the event
• Increased Candy XL chances for Nice Throws or better (trainers level 31+)
• Both Lunatone and Solrock appearing worldwide regardless of location
• Increased Team GO Rocket appearances at PokeStops and balloons
• Ability to use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokemon
• Expanded IV variance for Pokemon caught in Shadow Raids

The event introduces significant Team GO Rocket activity, allowing players to rescue Shadow Qwilfish, Shadow Swablu, Shadow Baltoy, and Shadow Deino by defeating Grunts. A special Research story will be available until December 2, 2025, offering a Super Rocket Radar to pursue Giovanni and rescue Shadow Incarnate Forme Tornadus.

For trainers seeking enhanced experiences, a $4.99 Timed Research offers two Premium Battle Passes, one Super Rocket Radar, and encounters with Ralts, Gothita, Wyrdeer, and other event-themed Pokemon.
