Niantic has officially announced the arrival of Dudunsparce in Pokemon GO through an exciting new event called "Completely Normal." This highly anticipated addition brings the Generation 9 evolution of Dunsparce to the mobile game, giving trainers another reason to explore their neighborhoods.

Dudunsparce carries an interesting evolutionary history that began with its pre-evolution, Dunsparce, which first appeared in Pokemon Gold and Silver. Unlike dramatic transformations such as Magikarp evolving into Gyarados, Dunsparce's evolution into Dudunsparce maintains a similar appearance while gaining new capabilities. Originally introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, this normal-type Pokemon now makes its mobile debut in Pokemon GO.

The Completely Normal event is scheduled to run from Tuesday, September 23, until Saturday, September 27, 2025. During this period, trainers can obtain Dudunsparce by evolving their Dunsparce using 50 Dunsparce Candy. The event brings significant changes for Ditto enthusiasts as well, with the Generation 1 Pokemon now transforming into different creatures in the wild—a modification that will persist even after the event concludes.
