After Google disbanded Stadia Games and Entertainment in 2021, former Typhoon Studios developers—creators of the original Savage Planet—founded Raccoon Logic. Securing the IP rights, they continued developing the sequel, which has already garnered praise for its whimsical alien world and engaging mechanics. Revenge of the Savage Planet is earning positive reviews from critics and players alike.

Subscribers can dive into Revenge of the Savage Planet at no extra cost, as it launched on Xbox Game Pass on May 8. The game supports both solo and multiplayer modes, including couch co-op and cross-platform play.
