Delta Force Unveils New Raptor Operator and Season 6 Content
2025-09-10 09:04:45Team Jade has officially revealed Raptor, the latest operator joining the Delta Force roster, set to debut with the game's upcoming season on September 23. Despite earlier controversies surrounding its planned Black Hawk Down single-player campaign in early 2025, the free-to-play tactical shooter has maintained strong momentum throughout the year, particularly during its most recent season. Players now have even more reasons to be excited as new content and gameplay improvements approach.
The current Break season launched on July 9, approximately one month before Delta Force expanded to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 platforms. This season introduced two new maps, an assault class operator, and three additional weapons, with a substantial mid-season update further enriching the content offering. With console gamers now participating and PC player numbers increasing, Delta Force enjoys its largest player base to date, with new updates arriving shortly.
A September 7 preview video provided the first glimpse of Landon Harrison, codenamed Raptor, the new Recon class operator arriving September 23 with the War Ablaze season. Raptor's gameplay revolves around the Silver Wing drone, capable of marking all enemies within its visual range and functioning as a guided explosive when needed. The operator also carries EMP grenades to disable enemy electronic devices and possesses two tracking-focused abilities. Trace Tracker reveals recent enemy footprints and information about the operators who made them, while Trace Detection alerts players when enemies are targeting them. Although the Recon class traditionally presents challenges for players, this new equipment significantly enhances its utility and combat effectiveness.
Alongside the new operator, Delta Force's sixth season introduces a new Warfare map, at least two additional weapons, and the F-45A Fighter Jet vehicle. When Season 4 launched in April, it brought new difficulty settings and several gear pieces beyond the standard seasonal changes, suggesting potential additional content for the latest season that remains to be revealed.
Team Jade has implemented significant improvements beyond content additions to enhance the multiplayer experience. Between March 14-20, Delta Force banned over 1,000 players for cheating violations, with many receiving decade-long suspensions. The developers have also committed to major console experience enhancements that will roll out through future updates.
