XGP Welcomes Football Manager 26 and Critically Acclaimed 1000xResist
2025-11-05 00:24:49Microsoft has kicked off November with exciting additions to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, welcoming both Football Manager 26 and the critically acclaimed 1000xResist to the PC and Ultimate tiers. These day-one releases mark the first new titles for the month, bringing the total number of fresh Xbox Game Pass additions in 2025 to an impressive 191 games.
Developed by Sunset Visitor, 1000xResist stands as one of the most highly-rated gaming experiences of 2024, achieving an outstanding average score of 89 on OpenCritic with a perfect 100% recommendation rate from critics. This innovative adventure game places players in the role of a clone navigating a dystopian near-future where extraterrestrial forces have decimated humanity through a weaponized pandemic. The narrative delves into profound themes of cultural identity and intergenerational trauma, presenting these complex subjects through the unique lens of the Hong Kong diaspora experience. Through its non-linear storytelling approach and memory-based sequences, the game creates a distinctive and emotionally resonant journey that has captivated both reviewers and players worldwide.
Both 1000xResist and Football Manager 26 became available on Xbox Game Pass starting November 4. While Sports Interactive's Football Manager series has maintained a consistent pattern of day-one Xbox Game Pass releases since 2018, the previous installment experienced significant delays and was ultimately canceled in February 2025. This disruption stemmed from challenges the developer faced while transitioning the franchise from its proprietary engine to the Unity platform. Consequently, Football Manager 24 remained accessible through Xbox Game Pass for an entire year beyond its originally planned departure date. With the arrival of its successor, the older title is now scheduled to leave the service on November 15.
Sports Interactive has consistently demonstrated strong support for Xbox Game Pass, mirroring the positive stance of its parent company Sega. This makes the day-one availability of FM26 completely consistent with the developer's established track record. The Football Manager franchise now appears poised to resume its traditional annual release schedule, suggesting that FM26 will likely remain on Game Pass for approximately one year before being replaced by the next installment.
Although 1000xResist initially launched on PC in mid-2024, its classification as a day-one release stems from the debut of its Xbox Series X/S version. As such, both this title and Football Manager 26 are exclusively available to subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Drawing from Microsoft's established release patterns and recent corporate communications, industry observers anticipate that 1000xResist and FM26 will become accessible through the Premium tier of Xbox Game Pass sometime between May and November 2026.
The service continues to expand with eight additional confirmed titles scheduled to join Xbox Game Pass before year's end, with further announcements expected in the coming weeks. Beyond these immediate additions, the subscription platform currently lists 25 confirmed day-one releases awaiting specific launch dates. Some of these anticipated games, including Planet of Lana 2 and Aphelion, are tentatively targeting 2026 releases, while others such as Persona 4 Revival have not yet committed to even a release year, leaving their launch timelines uncertain.
