Dead by Daylight Unleashes Springtrap More Details

2025-05-28 05:41:06

Dead by Daylight has unveiled chilling new details about its latest Killer, Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's. This collaboration brings the iconic horror of FNAF to life, as Survivors must navigate the eerie Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria map while evading the animatronic menace.

Among the many antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's, Springtrap was chosen for this crossover due to his deep lore and terrifying presence. This yellow animatronic bunny houses the mummified remains of William Afton, FNAF's infamous villain. Originally appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 3, Springtrap's influence looms large across the franchise.

Springtrap's Deadly Abilities in Dead by Daylight

In Dead by Daylight, Springtrap excels in surveillance, pursuit, and instilling fear in Survivors. His signature weapon, a fire axe, serves as his Power—throwing it creates an area-of-effect that reveals nearby Survivors. If a Survivor is struck, they must remove the axe themselves or rely on an ally before Springtrap catches up. However, if the Killer attempts to retrieve the axe, a classic FNAF jump scare triggers, sealing the Survivor's fate.

New Skins and Features

Upon the Dead by Daylight x Five Nights at Freddy's Chapter's release on June 17, 2025, Springtrap will receive multiple skins, including the "Yellow Rabbit Legendary Outfit" inspired by the live-action FNAF movie. This outfit features Matthew Lillard's likeness and original voice lines. Other skins include the "Glitchtrap Legendary Outfit" from Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted and two Very Rare Outfits: Clown Springtrap and Toxic Springtrap.

The Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Map

The new map introduces FNAF's signature security elements. Survivors and Killers can use the Security Office to teleport across the map, but crossing paths may result in a deadly jump scare. Security cameras also allow Survivors to monitor Springtrap's movements, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.
