Capcom's critically acclaimed fighting game, Street Fighter 6, is set to receive a major update on June 5, including a Nintendo Switch 2 port and the introduction of DLC fighter Elena. Alongside the Switch 2 launch, Capcom will bundle the base game with the first two years of DLC fighters in the Street Fighter 6: Years 1–2 Fighters Edition. This edition will feature fan-favorite characters like Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui from SNK's Fatal Fury series, as well as the highly anticipated addition of Elena.

Elena, making her first appearance in the series since Ultra Street Fighter 4, brings her unique Capoeira fighting style to Street Fighter 6. Capoeira, a martial art with roots in West Africa and Brazil, combines dance-like movements with powerful kicks and leg strikes to keep opponents off balance. Fans will also be delighted to see Elena's classic outfits from Street Fighter 3 and Ultra Street Fighter 4 included in the update.

The release of Street Fighter 6 on the Nintendo Switch 2 coincides with a significant update for all platforms. Capcom has announced a seven-hour server maintenance period starting on June 3 at 10:00 PM Eastern Time. Once completed, players can expect new outfits for Year 2 DLC fighters and additional content.

Physical copies of Street Fighter 6 for the Switch 2 will come on a Game-Key Card, requiring a 50 GB download. The DLC fighters will be accessible via a voucher that expires in 2027, ensuring players have ample time to redeem their content
