As summer approaches, Maxis is shifting focus to the next major expansion, "Enchanted by Nature." The expansion will be officially revealed on June 12, with a gameplay trailer following on June 26. While details remain scarce, the expansion's name suggests a strong emphasis on the outdoors. Leaks also hint at the introduction of fairies, adding a supernatural twist to the game.

Maxis hasn't forgotten about free-to-play players. Two significant base game updates are planned for July 1 and August 19. Though specifics are yet to be announced, these updates are expected to bring new content and enhancements to the core game experience.

Starting June 24, players can participate in the Nature's Calling event, a four-week celebration offering exclusive rewards. By logging in and completing special quests, players can earn outdoor furniture, clothing, nature-themed collectibles, and even a unique tattoo. This event follows the successful model of past in-game activities like Reaper's Rewards.
