New Update for First Berserker: Khazan Introduces Major Difficulty Overhaul

2025-06-13 17:05:05

The highly anticipated June update for First Berserker: Khazan is set to bring significant changes to the game's difficulty system, offering both new and experienced players a more tailored experience. Developed by Neople, First Berserker: Khazan is an action-packed solo title set in the world of Arad, where the protagonist Khazan seeks revenge against those responsible for his downfall.

Since its launch on March 27, 2025, First Berserker: Khazan has received steady post-launch updates, with the most notable being the May patch. This update introduced two new boss rush modes—Great General's Crucible and Berserker's Bloodshed—which unlock after clearing the main story. Additionally, the Change Appearance feature was made available earlier in the game, allowing players to customize their look sooner.

Major Difficulty Rework

The June update promises to shake up the game's difficulty system with a complete overhaul. The existing "Easy" mode will be renamed to "Normal" and set as the default difficulty level. The current "Normal" mode will be rebranded as "Challenge," offering a more demanding experience for players familiar with the game's combat mechanics.

In addition to these changes, two new difficulty modes are being introduced:

  1. Beginner Mode: This mode is designed for players who want a more relaxed introduction to the game's systems. Players can switch to a higher difficulty level whenever they feel ready.
  2. Hardcore Mode: Aimed at seasoned players who have already conquered the game on "Challenge," this mode strips away key support systems, removes UI elements like enemy health and stamina bars, and tweaks the camera to increase tension. It offers a brutal and intense experience for those seeking a true challenge.

New Features and Enhancements

Beyond the difficulty adjustments, the June update will introduce several quality-of-life improvements:

  • Skill Preset System: Allows players to save and switch between different skill configurations quickly.
  • Gear Preset System: Enables players to manage and switch gear setups more efficiently.
  • Inventory Sorting: Players can now sort their inventory by name for better organization.
  • Increased Storage Space: Storage capacity is being bumped up from 100 to 500 slots, providing more room for items and equipment.
  • Enhanced Drop Rates: Main mission bosses will now always drop set crafting materials, and the drop rate for the Augment of Wisdom is being increased.
  • Additionally, a new Combo tab is being added to the in-game Encyclopedia. This feature will provide players with basic combo guides for each skill tree level, helping them learn and practice advanced moves directly within the game.

Temporary Offline of Online Demo

Due to the significant changes and updates since the game's initial release, the online demo will be temporarily taken offline. This move ensures that players experience the most up-to-date version of First Berserker: Khazan.
