Rumors surrounding Deadpool's inclusion in Marvel Rivals have been circulating since before the game's release.  Recent leaks, featuring audio interactions between the Merc with a Mouth and other characters, seem to confirm his imminent arrival. The distinctive, irreverent anti-hero in his bright-red spandex suit is a highly anticipated addition to the already impressive roster.

Marvel Rivals boasts a diverse cast of iconic Marvel heroes and villains, allowing players to experience the thrill of playing as their favorites for free.  With continuous updates and new character additions, the game consistently provides fresh content.  Season 1 introduced the Fantastic Four, with Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic arriving initially, followed by the remaining members. However, the notably absent Deadpool's pending arrival is generating significant excitement.

NetEase Games, the developer of Marvel Rivals, promises an exciting future for the game with ongoing updates and content additions.  Leaked information from the Twitter account MarvelRivalLeak reveals uncovered voice interactions between existing characters and Deadpool.  These recorded lines include banter with Spider-Man, with lines like "Great, we’re saving the world, and here comes the loosest cannon," hinting at their unique dynamic within the game.

The leaked voice lines aren't the only evidence suggesting Deadpool's arrival.  Players of Marvel Snap, another Marvel game, received a Deadpool-themed nameplate as a free reward.  Given the character's popularity and the box-office success of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024, his absence from Marvel Rivals has been conspicuous.  The availability of an MCU-inspired Wolverine outfit in Marvel Rivals has further fueled speculation about Deadpool's eventual appearance.  Intriguingly, the leaked audio also suggests that other characters, such as MODOK and Hit Monkey, are slated for future inclusion.

While NetEase retains control over character additions, the studio has expressed a commitment to introducing a new character approximately every 45 days.  Currently midway through its Season 1 cycle, Marvel Rivals has seen significant enhancements, including new characters, environments, and game modes like the free-for-all Doom Match.  Season 1 is anticipated to conclude around April, though specific dates haven't been confirmed.
