Originally announced in early May, Gears of War: Reloaded promises to deliver a stunning 4K remaster of the first game in the franchise, complete with 120 FPS multiplayer. While some fans hoped for a trilogy remaster, the focus on the original title has still generated significant excitement—especially among PlayStation 5 players, as this marks the series' debut on Sony's platform.

The beta, which launched on June 13, was expected to give players a taste of the revamped multiplayer experience. However, widespread reports indicate that matchmaking failures and server instability are plaguing the test phase. Some frustrated players have drawn comparisons to the troubled launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, while others sarcastically dubbed the game Gears of War: Loading due to prolonged connection times.
