In an unexpected move, Bandai Namco Entertainment unveiled a trailer on June 17 announcing that Saiyan Shallot will be joining the roster of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero on June 26. Season Pass holders will enjoy early access to this powerful warrior starting June 23. Originally created as the protagonist for the 2018 mobile game Dragon Ball Legends, this marks Shallot's first appearance in a console Dragon Ball title outside Japan.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft and launched in 2024, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero initially featured an impressive lineup of over 180 characters from across the Dragon Ball universe. With subsequent DLC releases, the roster has now expanded beyond 200 fighters. Bandai Namco continues to support the game with new content, including the upcoming Daima DLC expansion and surprise additions like Shallot.

Shallot's introduction to Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero comes with an exciting announcement trailer showcasing intense battles against iconic villains like Nappa, Captain Ginyu, Frieza, and Broly. Interestingly, the trailer doesn't reveal any of Shallot's potential transformations, leaving players curious about his full capabilities in the game.

While the pricing for Shallot as a standalone DLC character remains undisclosed, players can gain access to him and all future DLC content by purchasing the Season Pass. The game has already proven its success, selling over five million copies within four months of release and earning praise as a worthy successor to the beloved Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series.
