Delta Force: Break Season Launches with New Content and Console Release
2025-06-28 05:20:03The gaming community is buzzing with excitement as TiMi Studio Group announces the upcoming Break season for Delta Force, the free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter. The new season will launch on July 9 for PC and mobile platforms, with the highly anticipated console release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S following on August 19. During a recent livestream, the developer showcased a plethora of new content, including fresh maps, weapons, operators, and innovative gameplay features.
Originally debuting in 1998, the Delta Force franchise saw regular releases until 2009's Delta Force: Xtreme 2. After a long hiatus, the series was revitalized in December 2024 by TiMi Studio Group, the developers behind Call of Duty Mobile. The modern reboot features stunning graphics, diverse operators, and team-based tactical gameplay. The game quickly gained traction on PC, peaking at 131,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after launch, as reported by SteamDB. Recently, on June 21, Delta Force achieved a new all-time high of 162,436 concurrent players.
The Break season promises to deliver an array of exciting additions. Players can look forward to two new maps: Operations and Cyclone. Operations challenges players to infiltrate Tide Prison disguised as prisoners, with the added objective of breaking out. Meanwhile, Cyclone introduces a dynamic weather system that forces players to adapt their strategies on the fly. Alongside these maps, three new weapons—the compound bow, KC-17 assault rifle, and wire-guided missiles—will expand the game's tactical options.
A highlight of the new season is the introduction of Tempest, an assault class operator equipped with an advanced exoskeleton. Tempest boasts enhanced mobility and a unique drill for disarming enemies, adding a fresh dynamic to gameplay. Additionally, the update introduces swimming and diving mechanics, further enhancing the tactical depth of Delta Force.
While the Break season launches on July 9 for PC and mobile, console players will have to wait until August 19. However, the wait will be worth it, as the console versions will include the Delta Force: Black Hawk Down campaign mode from day one. This marks a significant milestone for the franchise, bringing the tactical shooter to a broader audience.
