Marvel Rivals has officially unveiled the major updates players can expect when Season 3 launches. The upcoming season introduces thrilling new characters and significant team-up modifications that will reshape gameplay dynamics.

Two iconic Marvel characters are joining the roster: Jean Grey as Phoenix and Blade. Jean Grey will debut as a powerful Duelist with long-range attacks, exceptional mobility for flanking maneuvers, and a devastating ultimate ability that unleashes the full might of the Phoenix Force. Blade's arrival is scheduled for Season 3.5, and while developers haven't revealed his complete skill set, leaks suggest he'll bring unique anti-healing mechanics to the battlefield.

The development team has shared detailed insights about the new Team-Up mechanics coming in Season 3. The Primordial Flame Team-Up combines Phoenix and Wolverine's powers, infusing Logan with the Phoenix Force during his Feral Leap ability. This creates area-of-effect burns and grants Wolverine life-steal properties on all attacks.

Another exciting addition is the Everburning Bound Team-Up between Human Torch and Spider-Man. This collaboration equips Spider-Man with a special gadget that shoots flaming webs, dealing damage over time and applying burn effects to enemies.

Marvel Rivals Season 3 Team-Up Changes

The developers have implemented a comprehensive overhaul of Team-Up abilities for Season 3:

The updated Symbiote Shenanigans Team-Up now incorporates Hela's powers, allowing her to summon symbiote tendrils that immobilize enemies and pull them toward impact points. Meanwhile, Squirrel Girl joins the Stark Protocol Team-Up, gaining nanotech gauntlets that transform her squirrels into explosive projectiles.

Season 3 launches on July 11 with Knull as the primary antagonist. Players will explore the new Klyntar: Celestial Husk map and unlock venomized skins for characters like Jeff and Rocket Raccoon. The update also includes numerous quality-of-life improvements designed to enhance the overall player experience.
