In an exciting move for fans, Bungie has announced that all currently available expansions for Destiny 2 will be free to play for a limited time leading up to the launch of the highly anticipated Edge of Fate DLC later this month. This offer provides an excellent opportunity for both new and returning players to experience the epic conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga through last year's The Final Shape expansion.

The Destiny franchise has evolved significantly over its decade-long journey, spanning two main games and numerous expansions. While the original Destiny remains playable on legacy consoles, Destiny 2 has seen much of its earlier content vaulted to make way for new experiences. Currently, only five major expansions remain available: Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape.

From now until July 22, players across all platforms - including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) - can access these expansions at no cost. Even better, all loot acquired during this free period, from exotic weapons to cosmetic items, will remain in players' inventories after the promotion ends.

Additionally, the three episodes released earlier this year will be available for free until July 15. These episodes, which tie up loose ends from The Final Shape, will then join the growing list of vaulted content as Bungie prepares to launch Edge of Fate.
