This redesign follows Nintendo's broader eShop transformation in 2025, which saw the digital storefront transition from its signature orange to a vibrant red color scheme. The change harmonizes with Nintendo's iconic branding and precedes the successful launch of the Switch 2 console. Retail sightings in Canadian Walmart stores reveal four denominations ($25, $50, $99, and $150) featuring:

• Link's contemporary look from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ($50 card)
• Donkey Kong's modern design from Donkey Kong Bananza ($150 card)
