The beloved indie game Dave the Diver is making waves in MapleStory as part of the upcoming Stargazer Patch 2 update on July 16. Players will see Dave, Bancho, and Cobra transported from their underwater adventures to the vibrant 2D world of this long-running MMORPG.

Since its 2023 release, Dave the Diver has captivated players with its unique combination of deep-sea exploration and restaurant management gameplay. The crossover makes perfect sense as both games share a connection through Nexon, the parent company of MapleStory and Dave the Diver's developer Mintrocket.

The MapleStory x Dave the Diver collaboration was officially announced through a YouTube trailer and blog post. According to the storyline, Dave and his crew will find themselves in the MapleStory universe after being sucked through a mysterious whirlpool. To survive in this new world, they'll establish a new Bancho Sushi branch and resume their fishing adventures from scratch.

This exciting crossover brings several new features to MapleStory Global (GMS):

• Special event systems and mini-games with unique rewards
• The return of the Ride or Die boss challenge event
• Hyper Burning Max experience boost for characters under Level 260
• Updates to the mastery node system for all classes

While Dave the Diver characters are coming to MapleStory, this is currently a one-way crossover similar to previous collaborations with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Revenge of the Savage Planet. Fans looking for new Dave the Diver content will need to wait for the In the Jungle DLC, now expected in 2026 at the earliest.
