During April's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Kirby Air Riders was announced as one of the standout first-party titles. Bandai Namco, known for its collaboration on Super Smash Bros., is assisting Sakurai in bringing this passion project to life. Rumors suggest that Nintendo greenlit Kirby Air Riders as part of negotiations for Sakurai's eventual return to develop the next Super Smash Bros. installment.
