Funcom has unveiled its premier official construction competition for Dune: Awakening, challenging players to showcase their architectural prowess for exclusive prizes. Launched on June 5, Dune: Awakening is a multiplayer survival sandbox from the creators of Conan Exiles, where survival on Arrakis demands careful resource management and strategic base design.

The game has shattered Funcom's sales records, achieving 189,000 concurrent players on Steam at peak. While the launch has been successful, players have raised concerns about limited PvE endgame content and griefing tactics affecting solo adventurers. The development team has been actively addressing these issues through rapid updates.

The building competition, detailed in an official announcement, runs from July 14-28 (6 PM EST). Participants may submit either photo galleries (maximum 20 images) or video tours (under 2 minutes) via social media platforms using #DuneAwakening or through the Pimp My Dune portal with proper tagging.

Competition Guidelines

• Theme Requirements: Entries must showcase faction-aligned designs (Atreides, Harkonnen, or CHOAM)
• Judging Criteria: Authenticity to chosen faction aesthetic will be prioritized
• Submission Limit: One entry per participant

Winners will be announced after August 8, with three grand prize recipients receiving the coveted LEGO Royal Atreides Ornithopter. Six runners-up will obtain collector's editions featuring spice chai latte kits and exclusive in-game decorations.
