Ghost of Yotei follows Atsu, a wandering ronin seeking vengeance against those who destroyed her family and home. The game's announcement during Sony's 2024 State of Play presentation sparked widespread excitement, with early previews suggesting it might surpass Ghost of Tsushima in both scope and quality. Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has even hailed it as "even better" than its predecessor, raising expectations for its October 2025 release.

In a recent interview with VGC, creative director Jason Connell confirmed that Ghost of Yotei will offer a similarly expansive experience to Ghost of Tsushima. The main story campaign will take approximately 25 hours to complete, with total completionists likely spending around 60 hours exploring every corner of Hokkaido. For collectors and fans, Sony will release limited-edition PS5 Ghost of Yotei console bundles featuring custom artwork inspired by the game. Both PlayStation 5 Slim and Pro variants will be available, complete with redesigned DualSense controllers. Additionally, standalone console covers in black and gold will be offered for existing PS5 owners. All bundles launch alongside the game on October 2, 2025.
