Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Secluded Springs Expansion Arriving August 28
2025-08-22 23:45:43Pokemon TCG Pocket has officially announced that its newest expansion, Secluded Springs, will launch in the game on August 28. This announcement comes during an exciting period for the Pokemon franchise, with Pokemon GO implementing significant changes and Pokemon Legends: Z-A revealing new mega evolution features. Now, Pokemon TCG Pocket joins the spotlight with its latest booster pack revelation.
Since its initial release in October 2024, Pokemon's immensely popular digital card game has consistently delivered fresh content through regular updates. August 2025 alone has seen multiple significant Pokemon TCG Pocket updates, including the Blissey EX Drop event and an impending Lightning-Type Mass Outbreak. Before the month concludes, players will receive yet another substantial content drop with the Secluded Springs expansion.
The official Pokemon YouTube channel confirmed the August 28 release date for Secluded Springs through a trailer published on August 22, though many enthusiasts might not have been surprised by the news. Developer DeNa has faced challenges maintaining secrecy recently, as numerous details about upcoming content, including the Secluded Springs expansion, surfaced online before official announcements. On August 21, Pokemon TCG Pocket inadvertently leaked the complete Secluded Springs trailer when the official Korean Pokemon channel uploaded it prematurely before recognizing the error and removing it. Now that the trailer is permanently available, fans can thoroughly examine what awaits them later this month.
Alongside the trailer release, The Pokemon Company updated its official website with additional information about the forthcoming expansion. As earlier leaks indicated, Secluded Springs will introduce Raikou, Entei, and Suicune to the game, along with other Pokemon originating from the Pokemon Gold and Silver titles. The expansion will be accompanied by a Zoroark Drop Event commencing on September 2, a week of special bonus events starting September 6, a Wonder Pick Event featuring Miltank and Phanpy cards beginning September 13, and a Mass Outbreak event launching September 24. Unlike Pokemon TCG Pocket's inaugural July Mass Outbreak, which concentrated on a single Pokemon species, the September event will return to focusing on an entire type category, specifically Water-type Pokemon.
Overall, the update presents numerous exciting elements for players to anticipate, with more content expected in the future. While the timing for Pokemon TCG Pocket's promised major overhaul remains uncertain, DeNa has confirmed it will arrive sometime during 2025.
