The highly anticipated anime MMORPG Blue Protocol: Star Resonance has officially begun accepting applications for its closed beta test. Developed by Shanghai Baokela Network Technology (SBNT), this revival of the beloved franchise invites players to register their interest by mid-August 2025 for a chance to participate in the upcoming trial phase.

Originally announced as a collaboration between Bandai Namco and Amazon Games in December 2022, the Western release of Blue Protocol was unexpectedly canceled in January 2025. The project has since been revitalized by SBNT, introducing a fresh narrative and characters while maintaining the original game's captivating universe. The developers have confirmed plans for an international launch following the Chinese release on July 17.

Beta Test Details and Registration

The closed beta is scheduled to run for at least ten days later this summer, with exact dates to be confirmed. Interested players can sign up through two primary methods:

• Complete the official recruitment questionnaire
• Participate in community events on the Blue Protocol: Star Resonance Discord server

Successful applicants will receive access codes via email between August 15-20, 2025. The beta will feature in-game purchases with a rebate system ensuring players are compensated for any spending during the test phase.
