In a recent Twitter announcement, 2K and Hangar 13 confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will be PS5 Pro Enhanced upon its release on August 8. The game will support 120Hz displays and Variable Refresh Rate, along with higher dynamic resolution in both Quality and Performance modes. The Performance mode, which was previously confirmed to run at an average of 60 FPS on the standard PS5, will see further improvements on the Pro model. The Standard Edition of the game is priced at an affordable $49.99, making it accessible to a wide audience.

While Mafia: The Old Country brings back many beloved elements from previous games in the series, it diverges by adopting a linear, narrative-driven format rather than an open-world design. The story follows Enzo Favara, a former indentured servant in Sicily's sulfur mines, as he rises through the ranks of the Torrisi crime family.
