Voidtrain Joins Xbox Game Pass Across Multiple Tiers Following Early Access

Xbox Game Pass has expanded its gaming library with the addition of Voidtrain, a cooperative survival title that represents the sixth new game to join the subscription service in November 2025. This day-one release also marks the 195th title added to Xbox Game Pass throughout the year, further enriching the platform's diverse content offerings.

Developed by HypeTrain Digital, the studio behind Police Stories: The Academy, Voidtrain presents players with a first-person survival crafting experience set in a science fiction universe. The game features extensive base-building mechanics and supports cooperative multiplayer for up to four participants, while also remaining fully playable in solo mode. Following an extended early access period that began in August 2021, the game has now reached its full 1.0 release.

Voidtrain made its debut on Xbox Game Pass on November 7, coinciding with its official departure from early access. What makes this release particularly noteworthy is its availability across three subscription tiers: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Premium. This represents a departure from Microsoft's traditional approach, where day-one titles typically remain exclusive to the Ultimate and PC tiers for an initial period.

The decision to include Voidtrain on the Premium tier from launch day is especially significant given that the game's Game Pass debut aligns with its console release. Microsoft had multiple reasons to restrict the title to higher subscription tiers, including its 1.0 launch status and console port debut, yet chose to make it broadly accessible. This pattern isn't entirely unprecedented, as Pax Dei received similar treatment when it transitioned from early access to join three Game Pass tiers in mid-October.

The remainder of November 2025 promises additional exciting additions to Xbox Game Pass, with seven confirmed titles scheduled for release. The lineup is headlined by the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, accompanied by other notable games including Winter Burrow, Pigeon Simulator, and Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. Among the non-day-one releases, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Great God Grove are both scheduled for November 11, with Relic Hunters Legend following on November 12.
