GameStop Announces Limited Restock of Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Products
2025-05-10 20:44:12GameStop is preparing a nationwide restock of certain Pokemon Trading Card Game Prismatic Evolutions products. However, inventory levels will differ between stores, and fans should act quickly as supplies are expected to sell out fast.
Originally launched in January 2025, the Pokemon TCG's Prismatic Evolutions expansion has faced consistent shortages since its debut. Major retailers across the U.S. have been periodically restocking these popular items in limited quantities.
Continuing this pattern, GameStop confirmed it will replenish specific Prismatic Evolutions products on May 10. Store window notices indicate the restock will include two key items from the expansion: the Elite Trainer Box and Tech Sticker Collection. Social media reports suggest most locations will receive modest quantities, though some exceptions have been noted - including one store reportedly stocking 123 additional ETBs.
During previous shortages, GameStop implemented a two-item purchase limit per customer for Prismatic Evolutions products (excluding pre-orders). As supply remains constrained, these restrictions will likely remain in effect for the May 10 restock. The replenishment will also include Kanto Power Tins - compact bundles containing two booster packs, a Pokemon coin, and an art card. While multiple versions of these tins exist, GameStop hasn't specified which variants will be available.
The secondary market continues to reflect strong demand, with Prismatic Evolutions ETBs (retail price: $49.99) frequently listed above $100 on reseller platforms. The Pokemon Company has acknowledged the ongoing shortages and committed to continued reprints of the expansion's products.
Since launching Prismatic Evolutions, The Pokemon Company has announced three additional TCG sets:
- Journey Together (released March 2025)
- Destined Rivals (coming late May)
- Black Bolt and White Flare (arriving mid-July)
