Developer Neowiz has unveiled more details about one of the standout locations in the Lies of P expansion, Overture—the Krat Zoo. Described as "weird and freaky," this twisted zoo promises to be a major attraction in the Lies of P DLC, offering players a chilling new environment to explore.

Released in 2023, Lies of P quickly became a hit, surpassing one million sales. Building on this success, Neowiz announced Overture, a prequel expansion set to launch this summer. The DLC will take players back to the city of Krat before the Puppet Frenzy massacre, with the Krat Zoo serving as the first major area. Early previews of Lies of P: Overture have already spotlighted the eerie zoo, setting the tone for the expansion.

According to GameSpot, the Krat Zoo in Lies of P: Overture will feature grotesque mutant versions of typical zoo animals, including gorillas, giraffes, and kangaroos. The level showcases Neowiz's creativity, pushing beyond the base game's design while delivering intense combat sequences tailored for seasoned players seeking a challenge.

Beyond the Krat Zoo, Neowiz is enhancing Lies of P with new difficulty options and a boss rush mode. The Battle Memories mode will let players revisit every boss from the base game and the DLC. For those who prefer a less punishing experience, the Butterfly’s Guidance and Awakened Puppet settings will provide a more accessible gameplay alternative.

Once released, Lies of P: Overture will integrate smoothly with the base game. Players can access the DLC from Chapter 9 onward, ensuring a seamless transition for those still immersed in the original story.

While Overture remains the studio's current focus, Neowiz has teased its next project. Partnering with Round 8 Studio, the developer is working on a new survival horror game set in a sci-fi universe. Though details are scarce, the project is being built on Unreal Engine 5 and promises to be as captivating as Lies of P.
