The life simulation game InZOI has recently announced a major change that will reshape one of its most anticipated updates. Originally planned as Kucingku, the third city in InZOI has been renamed to Cahaya, offering players a brand-new tropical retreat experience. This update is expected to bring fresh excitement to the game's community.

Since its Early Access launch in March 2025, InZOI has drawn comparisons to The Sims while carving out its own identity with unique features. However, player counts have seen a decline, with many attributing this to the current lack of replayable content. As an Early Access title, InZOI still has significant potential to grow and attract players back with substantial updates like Cahaya.

According to an announcement on the InZOI Discord by game director Hungjun "Kjun" Kim, Cahaya will be a resort-themed destination. Players can expect a peaceful escape from urban life, with activities like farming, boating, and exploring uninhabited islands. Unlike other cities in InZOI, Cahaya will not include traditional jobs or schools, focusing instead on a self-sufficient lifestyle through fishing and agriculture.

Kjun shared that the inspiration for Cahaya came from his personal desire for a retreat. "Developing InZOI has been incredibly rewarding, but sometimes even I need a break," he explained. "I wanted to create a space where players can unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life."

While no release date has been confirmed, Kjun hinted that more details about Cahaya will be revealed at Gamescom. Recent updates, including improved relationships and mod support, have already enhanced InZOI's gameplay, and the addition of Cahaya could further solidify its place in the life simulation genre.
