Jack Black Returns in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 with Dual Character Roles
2025-06-26 08:14:17Activision has officially announced that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 will feature a special appearance by Hollywood star Jack Black. The game, which will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, sees Black returning as the fan-favorite character Officer Dick while also introducing a fresh persona: Constable Richard.
Jack Black first brought Officer Dick to life in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 (2020), a role he accepted enthusiastically—even insisting on performing without payment. Behind-the-scenes footage revealed his genuine love for the franchise, with Black expressing disbelief at the opportunity to appear in the iconic skateboarding series decades after its inception.
A New Twist on a Familiar Character
In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, Officer Dick undergoes an evolution. Originally portrayed as a high school security guard with a disdain for skaters, he now ascends to the role of a college campus security sheriff. Game director Kurt Tillmanns explained this progression, highlighting the character's expanded authority and comedic potential.
Meanwhile, Constable Richard serves as Officer Dick's British counterpart, complete with a traditional custodian helmet. Activision teased the new character in a brief video, though the method to unlock either character remains under wraps.
Celebrity Cameos: A Tony Hawk Tradition
Jack Black's involvement continues the series' legacy of quirky celebrity appearances. Past games have featured real-life stars like Billie Joe Armstrong and Gene Simmons, alongside fictional icons such as Spider-Man and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
