Pokemon GO has officially revealed that Toedscool, a fan-favorite Gen 9 Pokemon, will make its in-game debut during the upcoming Adventure Week event scheduled for late July 2025. This announcement continues Niantic's trend of introducing Generation 9 creatures from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet into the popular mobile game.

As part of the ongoing Delightful Days season, Pokemon GO players can look forward to several exciting events in July. Alongside the debut of Dynamax forms for Latios and Latias, and the recent addition of Tatsugiri to one-star Raids (though with region-locked variants), the game will now introduce Toedscool and its evolution Toedscruel to the Pokemon GO universe.

The Adventure Week event will run from Tuesday, July 29, to Sunday, August 3, 2025. During this period, players will have their first opportunity to encounter Toedscool in the wild and evolve it into Toedscruel using 50 Candy. The event comes packed with exciting bonuses including double XP for catching Pokemon and extended two-hour Incense duration (excluding Daily Adventure Incense).

Wild encounters during Adventure Week will vary by location:

• City areas: Increased spawns of Sizzlipede, Trubbish, and possibly Espurr
• Forests/Grasslands: Higher chances to find Fidough, Smoliv, and the debut Pokemon Toedscool
• Mountainous regions: More frequent appearances of Rufflet and Hippopotas
• Beaches/Water areas: Better odds of encountering Wiglett (including its shiny variant) and Sandygast

Toedscool, a Ground/Grass type Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, initially confused fans with its resemblance to Tentacool. However, despite visual similarities, they are completely distinct species. The mushroom-like creature has gained significant popularity for its unique design and characteristics.

Event participants can look forward to special Timed Research offering rewards like Incense, Rare Candy, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon. A premium Timed Research option will also be available for $1.99, providing additional bonuses including Lucky Eggs and rare encounters.

2025 has been a significant year for Gen 9 Pokemon introductions in Pokemon GO, with creatures like Shroodle, Fidough, Tinkatink, Kingambit, and Tatsugiri joining the game in previous months.
