Retail giants Walmart and Best Buy have unveiled their exclusive pre-order bonuses for the highly anticipated Pokemon Legends: Z-A. These limited-time offers may sell out before the official game release, following the pattern of previous Pokemon title promotions.

While the digital version of Pokemon Legends: Z-A became available for pre-order on June 5, physical copies only opened for reservation after the July 22 Pokemon Presents showcase event.

Following franchise tradition, U.S. retailers are offering unique incentives for early purchasers:

Exclusive Pre-Order Bonuses in the United States

  • Walmart: Customers receive a mystery pin featuring one of three starter Pokemon - Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile (randomly selected)
  • Best Buy: Includes a premium gamer mat showcasing Lumiose City's detailed map with starter Pokemon artwork and special characters

The collector's mat prominently displays the game's central location, Lumiose City, with starter Pokemon on one side and key characters like Zygarde and Eternal Flower Floette on the opposite end - both expected to play significant roles in the new adventure.

Both retailers emphasize these bonuses are available 'while supplies last,' though historically, Pokemon pre-order items rarely sell out completely before release. Any remaining stock might continue to be distributed post-launch until depleted.

Additionally, all physical pre-orders qualify for an early adopter bonus of Ralts holding a Gardevoirite Stone, while digital purchases include 100 complimentary Poke Balls. These digital items will likely be delivered through the game's gift system at launch.

Scheduled for October 16 release, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will be available on both Nintendo Switch ($59.99) and Switch 2 ($69.99). The premium Switch 2 bundle includes cross-platform access, allowing play on either console generation.
