The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Update: Key Fixes and Improvements

The Sims 4 has rolled out a significant update addressing multiple gameplay issues and refining mechanics introduced in the Enchanted by Nature expansion. Released on July 29, 2025, this patch brings crucial adjustments to Ailments, Balance systems, and resolves console connectivity problems that players have encountered.

One of the most notable changes involves the Ailments system, which now triggers 75% less frequently. Previously, Sims would contract Ailments daily, but the update extends this to every three days on average. Contagion rates have also been reduced, making public spaces like restrooms significantly safer for your virtual characters.

The Balance system has undergone careful recalibration. Extreme emotional states like Mortified or Hysterical no longer immediately drain a Sim's Balance entirely. While these emotions still impact Balance more than regular moods, players now have adequate time to seek appropriate care before their Sim becomes "Very Imbalanced."

Console players facing Gallery access issues can now resolve them through a simple workaround. By navigating to Game Options > Other > Link EA Account, users can accept the updated User Agreement and regain full online functionality. EA confirms they're working on a permanent solution for this authentication problem.

Additional quality-of-life improvements include:

  • Naturopaths now properly observe holidays (for players with Seasons installed)
  • Restored werewolf nose color options in Create-a-Sim
  • Fixed appearance issues for Get to Work Aliens and DLC outfits in base game installations

The development team has also clarified fairy wing visibility mechanics. With over 360 unique animations, wings intentionally retract during specific activities like sitting or horseback riding to prevent clipping. Players noticing persistent wing disappearance are encouraged to report through official channels.
