Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone are gearing up for another exciting crossover event, this time partnering with the legendary 90s horror franchise 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'. The highly anticipated collaboration is scheduled to launch on August 7, bringing fresh content to both games.

Over the past year, Black Ops 6 has surprised players with numerous unexpected collaborations, including Squid Game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and American Dad. As the game approaches the end of its lifecycle, Activision is pulling out all the stops with this horror-themed partnership.

Activision recently unveiled the full Season 5 roadmap, revealing that the terrifying Fisherman character from 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' will be joining the game as a new operator skin. While the exact release date hasn't been confirmed, players can expect the skin to arrive approximately one month after the season launch.

This isn't the first horror crossover for the Call of Duty franchise. Previous collaborations have included Scream (featuring Ghostface), Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, and SAW. The Fisherman will join these iconic horror villains as a playable character in both Black Ops 6 and Warzone.

However, not all collaborations have been well-received by the Call of Duty community. Recent additions like American Dad's Stan Smith and Beavis & Butt-Head characters have sparked controversy among players who feel these crossovers break immersion in the military shooter.

Despite mixed reactions, Activision continues to push forward with creative partnerships, offering players unique content and keeping the game fresh as Black Ops 6 nears the end of its active support cycle.
