Pokemon GO has officially revealed an exciting event to celebrate the upcoming 2025 World Championships, scheduled to begin on August 15. This special occasion marks another highlight in the ongoing Delightful Days season, offering trainers worldwide new opportunities to catch rare Pokemon and earn exclusive rewards.

The Delightful Days season, which started on July 3, has already brought numerous exciting events to Pokemon GO. Players recently enjoyed the Pokemon GO Fest 2025 in June, featuring the debut of Gigantamax Cinderace. Additionally, the unique collaboration with MLB allowed trainers to capture special Pokemon and collect exclusive cosmetic items by attending baseball games at stadiums.

The upcoming World Championship event will run from August 15 at 10 am local time through August 17 at 8 pm local time. During this period, trainers will have the chance to encounter a special Pikachu sporting a stylish varsity jacket, available in one-star raids and as Field Research task rewards. This event also increases the odds of finding a shiny version of this costumed Pikachu.
