NetEase Games has unveiled the highly anticipated Season 3.5 update for Marvel Rivals, set to launch on August 8, 2025. This mid-season patch brings exciting new content, including the debut of Blade, a vampire-hunting anti-hero, alongside various gameplay enhancements and bug fixes.

Blade, also known as Eric Cross Brooks, is a half-vampire (Dhampir) who specializes in close-quarters combat. Armed with his Ancestral Sword and Shotgun, he can swiftly eliminate enemies. His Ultimate ability, Thousand-Fold Slash, allows him to carve through opponents while reducing their healing capabilities.

The update will also introduce a limited-time event called Queen's Codex, where players can unlock exclusive costumes for The Thing and Hela. Additionally, a Twitch Drops campaign will reward players with the Ignite Star-Lord costume and other in-game items.

NetEase has also implemented an automated chat moderation system to combat toxic behavior in the game. Players can now customize their muted words list to filter out unwanted language in text chat.

The patch includes new story content for Iron Man and Rocket Raccoon, as well as adjustments to ranked matchmaking and penalties for disconnections and AFK players. The update will be available after a brief maintenance period on August 8.
