The iconic Plants vs. Zombies universe is expanding once again with the announcement of Plants vs. Zombies Volume 25: It's a Dogz Life. This new graphic novel continues the successful collaboration between Dark Horse Comics and PopCap Games, delivering another action-packed adventure featuring everyone's favorite flora and the undead.

Since its debut in 2009, the Plants vs. Zombies franchise has grown into a multimedia phenomenon. What began as an innovative tower defense game has evolved to include multiple sequels, spin-offs like Garden Warfare (which transformed the gameplay into a third-person shooter), and an ongoing series of graphic novels that expand the universe's lore.

Dark Horse Comics has revealed that Plants vs. Zombies Volume 25: It’s a Dogz Life will continue the comic series' tradition of quirky storytelling. Written by veteran author Paul Tobin (who has penned all previous 24 volumes) and illustrated by Christianne Gillenardo-Goudreau, this installment promises another hilarious and chaotic adventure.

The creative team also includes colorist Heather Breckel and letterer Steve Dutro. Scheduled for release on March 3, 2026 (with comic shops receiving it on March 4), this 88-page hardcover volume will retail for $12.99. Fans can already pre-order through major retailers like Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

The titular "Dogz Life" refers to a frantic search for Dr. Zomboss's missing pet, with protagonists Patrice, Nate, and Crazy Dave joining forces with the plants to track it down. While details remain scarce, the involvement of the franchise's primary antagonist guarantees the usual blend of mayhem and humor.
