Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive a substantial free content update today, enhancing the racing simulation experience with four additional vehicles, three new World Circuit events, and several special features. The game already boasts an impressive collection of over 540 drivable cars, and this latest expansion pushes the vehicle roster to even greater heights, featuring two newly revealed concept models from Chevrolet's Corvette lineup.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.62

Since its initial release in March 2022, which featured over 420 vehicles, Gran Turismo 7 has continued to build upon the series' longstanding reputation for exceptional driving physics, extensive car collections, intuitive customization options, and meticulous attention to automotive detail that has characterized the franchise since its inception in the late 1990s.

According to the official PlayStation Blog announcement, update 1.62 for Gran Turismo 7 launches today, August 27, at 7 PM Eastern Time / 10 PM Pacific Time. Racing enthusiasts can acquire three of the new vehicles exclusively through the Brand Central area: the luxurious '26 Afeela 1 and two groundbreaking electric hypercars—the '25 Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept and the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept. Chevrolet initially unveiled both Corvette models earlier this month during Monterey Car Week in California, where the Afeela 1 also made its debut as the brand's first production model following its previous year's showcase.

Complementing these modern vehicles, the update introduces the distinctive '02 Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V, which blends sporty coupe styling with minivan practicality. The version featured in the game represents the Japanese market release, equipped with a more powerful 3L, DOHC 24-valve V6 engine compared to the 2L turbo variant available in France. Originally launched in 2021, the Avantime qualifies for inclusion in Brand Central but may also appear in the Used Cars dealership, potentially offering excellent value for players seeking cost-effective vehicle options.

Players can test their new acquisitions in three freshly added World Circuit events: European Sunday Cup 400 at Circuit de Sainte-Croix – B Reverse, Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, and World Touring Car 900 at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The update further enhances the experience with a stunning Tokyo Bay panorama added to the Scapes featured Curation and introduces Japanese Racing Pioneers to the Extras Menu for collectors who have reached Level 33 or higher.
