Niantic has announced the return of the Legendary Giants to Pokemon GO just before GO Fest 2025 kicks off. The Ancients Recovered event will run from June 23 to June 27, offering trainers a chance to capture Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki, Regidrago, and Regigigas through special raids and timed research.

Originally introduced in 2018, these rare Pokémon have been elusive in Pokemon GO, making this event a must-attend for collectors and competitive players alike. Each Legendary Giant will have a chance to appear as a Shiny variant, adding extra excitement to the hunt.

During the event, the Legendary Giants will rotate through five-star raids, with a special Raid Hour from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time each day. Here's the breakdown:

• June 23: Regirock, Regice, Registeel
• June 24: Regieleki
• June 25: Regidrago
• June 26: Regigigas
• June 27: All six Legendary Giants

Each caught during Raid Hour will know exclusive moves, such as Earthquake for Regirock, Thunder for Regice, and Dragon Breath for Regidrago.

The event also introduces Gigantamax Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon in six-star Max Battles, requiring teamwork for up to 40 players. Additionally, a Global Challenge will reward trainers with bonuses like faster Party Power charging and improved Premier Ball catch rates if completed successfully.

Two timed research lines will be available:

1. Legendary Giants Research: Free tasks rewarding encounters with all six Legendaries, plus a "surprise choice" upon completion.
2. Fleeting Legends Research: A $7.99 ticket granting an encounter with Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, or Moltres.

Special event boxes will be available on the Pokemon GO Web Store, including the GO Fest Ultra Storage Box ($4.99) and the GO Fest Ultimate Box ($99.99), packed with raid passes, incubators, and more.

Event Bonuses

• Remote Raid Pass limit increased to 30 (June 23–26) and unlimited on June 27–29.
• Guaranteed Candy XL for trades (Trainers level 31+).
