The upcoming modding toolkit update for InZOI, the ambitious life simulator challenging EA's The Sims dominance, has encountered a slight delay. Originally slated for September, the update will now arrive in October, as confirmed by developer Krafton in a recent Steam announcement.

Since its successful March 2025 launch, InZOI has struggled with declining player numbers, largely attributed to content shortages - a common challenge for Early Access titles. Krafton has maintained a steady stream of updates to revitalize interest, with this modding toolkit being one of the most anticipated additions.

The delayed update, first outlined in May's modding roadmap, promises significant enhancements including:

• Expanded character customization (faces, hairstyles)
• New architectural elements (doors, fences, windows)
• Creation tools for custom interactions (animations, dialogue, rewards)

However, the update comes with disappointing news as Krafton has scrapped the planned UI editor feature. The developer stated this decision ensures "better alignment with the game's overall direction" and promised more details in October.
