Minecraft's Bedrock Edition has just received an exciting new update that introduces a special music disc featuring the memorable Lava Chicken song from A Minecraft Movie. While Java Edition players got access to this musical addition in late June's 1.21.7 update, Bedrock players across all platforms can now enjoy (or annoy their friends with) this quirky tune in their multiplayer worlds.

The Lava Chicken song originates from a hilarious scene in A Minecraft Movie where Jack Black's character Steve cooks chicken using lava. Though the in-game version doesn't include Jack Black's vocals, it offers an equally entertaining chiptune rendition by Hyper Potions featuring the signature sounds of Minecraft's Villager mobs.

To obtain this musical treasure, players need to defeat a Chicken Jockey - the rare mob combination of a baby zombie riding a chicken. This requirement cleverly references a popular meme from the Minecraft Movie where Jason Momoa's character faces off against a Chicken Jockey.

Beyond the new music disc, the update focuses primarily on bug fixes and minor improvements. One notable change reduces the overly bright emissions from torches when using the Vibrant Visuals graphics setting, addressing a common player complaint since the feature's introduction.

Looking ahead, Mojang has teased exciting copper-related additions coming in Minecraft's third content drop of 2025, including the Copper Golem, copper chest, and new copper tools and armor. Players can preview some of these features now in Bedrock Edition by enabling preview content.
