The explosive fighting game Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, which took the gaming world by storm in 2024, is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform this November. This latest entry in the legendary Budokai Tenkaichi series allows players to experience iconic battles across the entire Dragon Ball universe with an unprecedented roster of characters and multiple gameplay modes.

Originally launched in October 2024 to critical acclaim, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero became one of Bandai Namco's most successful releases, driving significant profits for the publisher. While reviewers praised its faithful adaptation of the anime's high-octane battles, some noted repetitive elements in the Episode Battle missions.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version, announced during a recent Nintendo Direct, will introduce innovative motion controls using Joy-Con controllers. Players can execute signature moves like Goku's Spirit Bomb through physical gestures, adding a new dimension to the combat experience. Progress and unlocked characters will transfer between Switch versions, though online battle records won't carry over.

Developer Spike Chunsoft continues expanding the game's massive roster through updates and DLC, recently adding characters from Dragon Ball: Daima and Dragon Ball Legends.
